As I’m in a fabric baskets mood these days, I thought I’d make one more. For this one, I was inspired by this post on So Resourceful’s blog. Mine turned out quite different though, I cut my fabric into squares instead of octagons so the side bits are a bit too big.
It’s really easy to do. If I make another one I’ll cut my fabric in octagonal shapes so it looks nicer. In the meantime, this one is sitting on the kitchen bench and is being well used. I call this the ’empty pockets’ dish because when Mr A comes home from work, this is where he puts all the things that live in his pockets during the day – wallet, phone, car keys, loose change – as well as some other bits and pieces that used to clutter the kitchen counter.
